1) Description of herringbone gear
Herringbone gear is a specific type of the double helical gear. It is a special type of gear combination of
two helical gears of opposite hands(left hand and right hand).
Herringbone gears do not produce an additional axial load.
2) Features of herringbone gear
a) Transferring power smoothly, because more than two teeth will be enmeshed at any moment in time.
b) Without side-thrust axial load.
